What is your role and what responsibilities do you have at MIT:
My team and I help K12 and community college students and teachers across the United States develop ways of finding and inventing solutions to problems in their local communities. Our Invention Education approach is recognized at the federal level as a model for transdisciplinary STEM teaching/learning in the age of convergence. We are proud of the 16 high school teams that have earned U.S. patents for their work!

What is your favorite part of your job:
I’m an ethnographer so I love investigating the difference we make in people’s lives.

Do you have any hobbies or interests:
You can catch me running along the Charles River or hanging out at the Cambridge Foundry – a new community center for STEM and the Arts near MIT.
